Object Models for the World Wide Web
نویسنده
چکیده
The World Wide Web was designed mainly for viewing documents, which nowadays necessitates inelegant software engineering for developing interactive applications. Improving the current Web’s simple distributed object system by introducing more sophisticated object-oriented concepts can facilitate Web application development. The general idea of web object models is depicted, current technologies are surveyed, and the Document Object Model (DOM) by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) just as the Hypertext Transfer Protocol Next Generation (HTTP-NG) are examined.

Modeling and Evaluation of Stochastic Discrete-Event Systems with RayLang Formalism
In recent years, formal methods have been used as an important tool for performance evaluation and verification of a wide range of systems. In the view points of engineers and practitioners, however, there are still some major difficulties in using formal methods. In this paper, we introduce a new formal modeling language to fill the gaps between object-oriented programming languages (OOPLs) us...

متن کاملObject-Stacking in the World-Wide Web
Object-stacking is a model for structuring object based systems. The main feature of object-stacking is that layers of objects with a uniform interface are constructed, and the functions of these objects are integrated. The effectiveness of object-stacking has been shown for file systems of distributed operating systems. This paper presents the application of the object-stacking model to the Wo...
متن کاملSChiSM: creating interactive web page annotations of molecular structure models using Chime
SUMMARY SChiSM is a program for creating World Wide Web (WWW) pages that include embedded interactive molecular models using the browser plug-in, CHIME:, for visualization. The program works with Netscape 4.x and Internet Explorer 5 browsers to facilitate Chime/Rasmol scripting control of a molecular display.
متن کاملThe World Wide Shell Based on the Object-Stacking Model
Object-stacking is a model for structuring object-based systems. The main feature of the object-stacking model is that layers of objects with a uniform interface are constructed, and the functions of these objects are integrated. In object-stacking, ltering functions are converted into objects. By implementing object-stacking in the World Wide Web, several ltering functions scattered all over t...
